Alopecia SALT Scoring AI Demo Guide
- Go to https://demo.belle.ai and select the AI module.

- Upload an image of the left side, right side, top, and back of the head. Note that this module requires standardized images (posing the same as the outlines)

- The AI will then analyze these four images.
- The model provides an overall standard SALT score, ranging from 0 (no hair loss) to 100 (complete hair loss). This SALT score is the sum of hair loss from each of the four standardized quadrants.
- The Quadrant Outline option outlines the quadrant (computed by AI) that the AI uses to compute SALT.
- The Contour option outlines head regions where hair typically is present (green contour), and different level of hair loss (yellow, violet, red, pink). Hair loss is calculated based on where hair should be present versus where hair truly is present (indicated by the predicted heatmap).
- The heatmaps on each image are the outputs of the AI model. These heatmaps allow the model to localize the different areas with hair loss. The intensity of the heatmaps represent the severity of the hair loss (the whiter the heatmap, the more hair loss).

- You may revisit previous analyses via the History tab (located on the sidebar) which automatically saves previous results (yet comments on such analyses must be saved manually by clicking the save button).
